Simpsons: Hit & Run: Serial producer would love a remake
Matt Selman - Author and Producer of Simpsons - has revealed in an interview that he would like to see a new edition of Simpsons: Hit & Run from 2003 for current platforms. However, it will probably take some time until such a project could be started at all. According to Selman, there would be a lot of bureaucratic stuff, in which apparently many companies would be involved.
The producer also talked about creative disputes in conversation with IGN, which had the SIMPSONS team with the then Publisher. Accordingly, Vivendi Games wanted to make a racing game from Hit & Run. But the creators of the Simpsons would rather want a game that is much more oriented to Grand Theft Auto:
_ "We played all GTA at this time and the publisher ... they just wanted another racing game. And we said that everyone just games any version of GTA - people have to get out of the cars. It was really a big one Creative confrontation, whether it's just a 'riding and killing missions' game or just get out of the car and make missions' game. But I think it was worth the fight. "_ \ - says Matt Selman.
The then developer team of Radical Entertainment was now dissolved. For some years there was no video game for the SIMPSON series anymore. In 2012, the Simpsons: Tapped Out published a mobile title. The last console adventure of the Yellow Family was "Simpsons - The Game" from 2007. In our retro special we have thrown a detailed view of Simpsons: Hit & Run a detailed a few months ago.
