The Game Festival The Game Awards includes The Tonnes of Independent Demos

The Game Awards will have an exclusively digital event, The Game Festival, which will highlight "more than a dozen" up next independent Steam games, according to Tuesday's official ad.

The Game Festival lasts for a period of 48 hours, after which the demos presented will be removed from Steam.

The creator and presenter The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, described the Game Festival "with a completely digital approach of event space The consumers".

"Let's look at things in front: Everyone can not attend a commercial exhibition or consumer event," Keighley said in a statement. "The Game Festival is designed from the outset as an event without barriers, extending the benefits of a physical event to the world community the players watching Game Awards."

The annual discount event will be presented on December 12 at 5:30 pm / 8:30 pm ET. It would reveal about 15 new games and feature new trailers for the already announced games such as Fantôme de Tsushima.
