School will teach ESPORT classes
Over the past few years, the ESPORT has taken a greater place in the schools of different countries. Several institutions already offer some type of program related to competitive games. In this way, it should not sound strange that in the United Kingdom, children will be taught to organize Tournaments of Mario Kart 8 and other titles .
This program emerges as a collaboration between Ukie Digital Schoolhouse, Nintendo UK and Outright Games, where you will be offered a professional experience to students between 8 and 11 years old, and will be taught to organize and start up their ESPORT event own event. This initiative is part of a new six-week educational program, where children will also be taught computing, English, mathematics or design and technology.
The course will work as an introduction to the world of the ESPORTS, and here the children will have to organize a list of matches, Set the hardware, develop marketing materials, boasted and play the game itself . Together with Mario Kart 8, The program also includes Race with Ryan and crayola scoot , although teachers are free to choose other titles, as long as they are in the range allowed by Pegi, European classification organization.
Although this sounds like something totally new, the truth is that in 2020 something similar was attempted with 700 students from different schools in the United Kingdom. These tests had a series of positive results , with students demonstrating great interest in this project, teachers willing to continue with practices.
Hopefully this type of proposal will reach more countries, in order to eliminate the stigma that is still having videogames on many sides. On related topics, a mod of microsoft Flight Simulator adds tracks of Mario Kart 8 to this title. Similarly, a prototype of Super Mario Kart of SNES emerges.
